Mother's Day Gift Guide

Since primary school, we’ve all had to come up with the perfect gifts for Mum on Mother’s Day. From handmade cards with lopsided cut-and-paste hearts to semi-charred breakfasts in bed, Mum has been receiving all our best efforts (and mishaps) on her special day. The time has come to make a change from hastily assembled gifts and freshly-picked bouquets. Let us show you five unforgettable and unique Mother’s Day bouquet alternatives:

For the Cooking Mum why not consider one of our Fig Trees? Figs are very delicate fruits with a gentle aroma and sweet flavour. If your mum spends loads of time in the kitchen, whipping up tasty treats, she would love to try incorporating figs from her own garden into the menu!

For the Hostess-with-the-Mostest, we have a lovely three tiered Topiary Tree that would be a stunning addition to the entrance of a home or lounge. These trees provide an elegant accent to homes and, when in bloom, could fill the room with a subtle pine fragrance.

For the Zen Mother who enjoys tranquillity and meditation, an Olive Bush, also referred to as a ‘Plant of Peace’ could be the perfect addition to a relaxing environment. Olive branches have long since been used as symbols of peace, making the olive bush a thoughtful and unforgettable gift.

Maybe you have a real Mumsy Mum, someone who provides you with unwavering comfort and is steadfastly committed to her family? If so, consider showing your appreciation to her with one of our Hawthorn Trees, a tree associated with protection and commitment.

Or maybe your mum is more of a Nurturing Mother, a mum who could always make the woes of the world pass with a simple hug or a smile. If so, our Bay Laurel trees may be the optimum gift for her, as they are used to ward off evil and illness. Bay leaves are also used frequently in cooking hearty dishes like stews and soups and are associated with comfort.
