OH, YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL
YOUR PERFECT ALL YEAR THROUGH
RED, ORANGE OR BROWN
YOU STRETCH UP FROM THE GROUND
YOU ARE THE TREE TO MY DOOR

YOU REACH RIGHT UP TO MY DOOR
SUMMER, RAIN, OR EVEN SNOWFALL
WHATEVER THE SEASON
YOU NEED NO REASON
YOU ARE THE TREE TO MY DOOR

OH MY TREE YOU ARE SO TALL
I LOVE YOU MORE AND MORE
YOU ARE ALWAYS THERE FOR ME
MY TALL HANDSOME TREE
YOU ARE THE TREE TO MY DOOR.

I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright and blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft and smooth.
I love the way you make me so happy,
And the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, "I Love You,"
And the way you're always there.
I love the way you touch me,
Always sending chills down my spine.
I love that you are with me,
And glad that you are mine.

Jeremy Stracey

For Lisa

How can I show I care?
One day isn't enough.
A card can't lay my heart bare.
How can I show my love?
Not with roses fair.
You deserve all the stars above.

Judith Allen

Just like a jigsaw
Several complicated pieces
Making one perfect picture
The best things in life taking time
Maturing like the finest wine
This is how i see me and you
Like the best jigsaw the world has ever seen
One being made with my best friend
Forever destined not to end
So many people lose the pieces
Others get bored half way through
turning their back on their best friend
searching for a newer trend
Now we have found all the corners
Really it hasn't been hard
Still need to fill in the rest
This will be our ultimate test
I do think some things are down to fate
We were made to create this together
No matter if this wasn't planned
We will do this jigsaw hand in hand.

To my darling Valentine,
Who I never thought I'd find,
At 29 and on the shelf,
I often pondered to myself,
'It's only nutters that I meet,
Full of issues and not five feet.'
My days were lonely, sad and blue,
Until I chanced to meet with you,
A gorgeous man and full of life,
Plus you didn't have a wife.
Kind and caring you stole my heart,
Then I knew we couldn't part,
You changed my world and dried my tears,
Married now for many years.

Mrs. Claire Carroll

Dedicted to my fiance sean
from the first time i met you
i felt so much emotion,
i know from my heart
i'm giving you devotion.
you are the greatest love
that there has ever been,
whenever i look at you
i see the sexiest man i've ever seen.
the day you asked me to be your wife
was the happiest day of my life.
i love you baby.

14th February, St. Valentine's Day,
A special day for a lover,
This is the day, we specifically say,
How much we love each other.
When I was young, all those years ago,
Cupid's arrow touched my heart,
I knew that at last I'd found my beau,
And that we'd never part.
A bouquet of roses, beautiful and red,
Chocs wrapped up in a bow,
And in the card, words you've often said,
"I'll always love you so".
We sat down together for a candle-lit dinner,
In our number one favourite place,
I thought to myself "I'm on to a winner",
When I saw the look on your face.
We finished our meal, you gave me a wink,
There was nothing else to be said,
We boiled up the kettle, made our hot drink,
And trundled hand in hand, off to bed!

The Last Dance
Two souls kept apart by the duty of life
But they can't take our memories of those nights
Where we held each other so tight, like we could never let go
Breathed in the aroma on one anothers skin
So we would never forget.
Our eyes locked in a gaze
It's almost like we knew in our hearts
That we wouldn't be just yet.
But my love dont fear,
For though my heart is broken now
My love for you wont run away in my tears
It will remain for all eternity
Until death takes us by the hand
And leads us back to the ball
Where our souls will unite, and we will dance once more
To the music of the stars
Under the light of the never ending moon
Think of me my love, keep the memories
But most of all please...
Save the last dance for me....x

Valentine's Song
Can I compare you to a tree 2 my door ?
For you may feel like branching out,
but will always give me more.
As years go by you'll bring me rings,
stay grounded in my life
you really are low maintenance
and never "trouble and strife."
You'll always make me want to smile
so life will be a hoot
and as the seasons pass us by
for me you'll always root.
We'll relax out in my garden
for you'll make me want to stay
and before the winter frosts arrive
we'll make each others day.

Valentines never know what to buy
that special gift how hard they try
wondering round shops and online
if only they knew what would be devine
already wrapped and deliverd to your love
something that shows how much you care
without the stress and pulling your own hair
just click on the site and order away
it will make it to you by valentines day
what i hear you ask and where what store
thats easy just click on treestomydoor

It's just another lonely valentine
Not the first and wont be the last
You feel so empty inside
When all love is in the past
But all hope hasn't died
Be my valentine
You learn as you get old
Lust leaves you bitter, love leaves you cold
I don't think I’ve ever been in love in the past
One thing’s for sure, it didn’t last
Be my valentine
Happiness only lasts for a short while
When all you can do is smile
You walk round with chest puffed out
Coz she's all you can think about
Be my valentine
In the end happiness dies
When you see no love in her eyes
You know it won't be long
When everything you do seems to be wrong
Be my valentine
Every year it's the same
I've only got myself to blame
It's just another lonely valentine
Just wish that I could make you mine
Be my valentine

Love-ya!
I Love you,
but sometimes wonder why.
Although without you
I will surely cry.
So tell me again that you love me too.
'Cause Yogi - you're my dream come true.

WE TRAVEL TO A SECRET PLACE WHERE WHISPERS ARE OUT LOUD;
OUR HEARTS ARE EVERPOUNDING
NO COMFORT IN A CROWD..
WE LOVE AND LAUGH AND CRY AS ONE;
OUR FEELINGS RUSH; BASK IN THE SUN
FOREVER YOURS IS WHAT IS SAID
TREASURED MOMENTS NEVER BLED....

The love we share is oh-so-right!

Words

My words are your words and your words are mine
Fingers find distance places in disguise.
When washing up I look and decide that nothing
can be out of place in my mind.
Like a strong cup of coffee I begin to smell
like a new beginning, to not let go.
Roundabouts, out of space, headstands
and drawing circles in the sand.
Makes me dizzy, makes me giddy
like ice cream cones and soft moans
Can I kiss you now, underneath the light
into the underworld
where at last the world is bright.

We're both parts of a 2-piece jigsaw
Together, as one, we're complete
Apart we are nothing; the picture's concealed
Bonded: our love is revealed

Jennifer Deavall

Love ain't all they that say it is,
It's not all flowers, bows and hearts
It's dirty socks on the bedroom floor,
And the "hilarity" of under-quilt farts,
Far from love and Cupid's song,
And all that your heart wishes,
It's mortgages and changing nappies,
Whose turn to wash the dishes,
But sometimes, just sometimes,
Love holds a sweet surprise,
Like the hot cup of nice strong tea,
When morning opens your eyes,
So love is not as it's painted,
But it is still most worthwhile,
As I would wash a month of dishes,
Just to see your loving smile!

When I went to the dance that fateful July
I was little to know that my love i would spy
she thought I was honest and a little unique
although on reflection it was a quick pek
we overcame problems and had one or two
on a good Easter monday we'd take them to the zoo
although times were hard and we hadn't a lot
we were gifted at least by the love that we got
and now years have passed we're a family divine
the mothers superior and dad's an aul swine!

My love is like a cabbage
Divided into two
The leaves I give to others
My heart I give to you

ANOTHER THURSDAY!

You kiss me at the door, goodbye
My mind has already departed
To work, and pressure, and lots to do
My brain has already started
I work so hard to keep our life
To the standard that we crave
The holidays, the car, the house
And the compulsive job that pays
The day's gone in a blur
So busy, running, time is pressing
Be here! Decide! What's your view?
Meetings, deadlines, more stressing!
Then later, I come home to you
After business ruins my mood
You're the one who pours the wine
And cooks me comfort food
The little things you say or do
You think are not noticed by wife-y
But those are the things, my darling
That underpin our life
So, I guess I wanted you to know
You are my rock, foundation,
It's like I won the lottery, Steve
And you're the lucky combination!

Cally

Lets fly to the moon
Every day and every night,
I'm your loving satellite,
Around your heavenly body I turn
Magnetic attraction makes me yearn,
My constant orbits always true,
Revolving as always around you,
You are my sun and all to me,
The centre of my galaxy.

Justine Powell

A Great Love

From little acorns great oaks grow
And so it is with love
A chance encounter, roots then shoots
And suddenly we're part of
A much greater thing
Through youth and teens we bend and bow
Well wintered, sometimes sad
But seasons change, the sun comes out
The good times that we’ve had
Are greater times
As years go by we lose our leaves
And all things start to fade
But standing strong, unwavering
With open arms of shade
A great Oak
And many years from here and now
When you and I have gone
The shoots and roots of many more
Acorns will live on
Great!

Catherin Inglis

Life is amazing
That is sure
Now you're a part of it
I yearn for no more
Valentines Special a time to reflect
On when we first met and my heart skipped a beat
Life's still amazing although we are content
Your smile still makes my heart melt
Loves what you make it
And I'm glad we do
Because my darling
I will always Love you

Lynsey Maughan

When we first met we were all brightly shining,
We used to go out wining and dining
4 kids later and 10 years on
Our love is still growing ,still going strong
In the future we are 70 years old
cuddling up to keep out the cold.
As we pass on and look back at our time
I would treasure it with you my angel VALENTINE

Leigh Annell

The whole darn thing...
I tried hard to like the ones who paid my mother
compliments, helped me in and out of cars, showered
me with presents, were fluent in the rigmarole
of courtship, seemed to want a lady not not just a
lay, but have to say - found rough diamonds sexier,
also the tortured, troubled, wayward, lost, misfits and
missing links, the challenge of complexity,
the allroundbadnewsbadboys. With you, I'd reached
the what-you-see-is-what-you-get-still-waters type
And I worked hard, taught you that it's ok, ok to say
what you feel, ok to feel. You learned so well, bathe me
in tenderness, surprise me with, well, surprises, like that
winter path you laid, candles, tealights, flowers, from
back door to the stairs and up, and you asleep, holding
an A4 sheet on which was written in bold, foul-smelling
felt-tip - uppercase -
"PLEASE WAKE ME WHENEVER,
WHENEVER YOU GET HOME."

THE KISS

Entwined for eternity in cool, smooth embrace
She stares deeply into his adoring eyes
With the certainty that their love
Defies the boundaries of life itself
That their youth remains untouched
By the ravages of time and turmoil
That they have indeed discovered immortality
The scruffy youth leers at their nakedness
With only thoughts of lust and depravity
The shy spinster envies the woman's beauty
And longs to be cradled in sinewed arms
The frail old lady with a tearful smile
Recalls tender moments from her lost youth
On each of them the statue makes its mark
But we, our rendezvous made, stand silent
Our skin is not as pale as alabaster
Your touch will not be as cold as stone
Looking at this perfect image of our love
I feel the colour rushing to my cheeks
In anticipation of the afternoon's delight
And the consummation of exquisite desire

Susan Tompkins

Now I know you like a buxom girl
With a fuller sort of figure
And a round and cosy cleavage
So this has been my trigger.
So when I next set eyes on you
You'd better damn well see
That I've spent 4 grand on my mammary glands
Now please will you go out with me!

Angie Hoggett

My lover, my pie
You make me sigh
Cos your candycane lips
Go straight to my hips

Our song

I've known you my love
for a thousand years
you've lived in my dreams
and dried my tears.
When I'm alone
your love keeps me strong
and when I am with you
the wind plays our song.

Vera Spitz

You're are me, my thoughts my heart
Wherever I may go;
On Valentine’s Day I'd like to say
I love you more than you know.

MY HUSBAND IS A DARLING WHO
LEAVES NOTHING TO BE DESIRED
HIS SWEET AND GENTLE NATURE
IS 'TREE'MENDOUSLY ADMIRED
HE'S AS SOLID A BEECH TREE
A REALLY DECENT BLOKE...
AS HARDY AS THE ROWAN
AND AS LOYAL AS AN OAK

Mrs Brita Bevis

He proposed on Tattershall tower
To a beautiful Ukrainian flower
He thought she smelled nice
And that would suffice
So they were married that very hour!

Peter Cotton

I went to the shop and bought flowers,
Now who needs a fella, I thought
They moan and they mutter
about my friends and my mother,
They don't know the date,
Or wash up their own plate,
So who needs a fella I thought!

Miss Christine Reid

Your face is the sun
A peach is your bum
Vibrant red is
The colour of
My growing love
For your smiling face
Your fall from grace
And perfect taste
By this I mean
Your choice of
Soul mate for I am
Yours and you are mine
I lie back and admire
The view
Beautiful landscape
Created and perfected by you
So on this February day
I'm delighted to say
That you're my perfect
Scrumptious bum and tum
Vibrant valentine
You memory forever
Etched in my mind

There once was a stunner called Gill
Who made my life really quite brill
A ring on her finger
I hasten to linger
Today her dreams could fulfill

Valentine,
Every tight hug
Every soft kiss
It's so undiscribable.
They way you speak to me
that sends chills down my spine.
You make me feel like the world
has to stop just for us.
Valentine,
How you look at me
with those beautiful green eyes
that makes me feel like
I'm the only one that matters.
How you smile that
helps me know I did something right.
Valentine,
I want to be yours forever.
I don't want another lover,
for they can't love me like you do.
And I don't think no one else
can love you like I do.
Valentine,
Your the reason why I live.
You give me a reason to really say
"I Love You"
and really meaning it.
Valentine,
There is no other person
I would want to spend life
with except with you.
Valentine,
Thank You
For Being Mine.

Sarah Anne Shelton

She came to me in the simple dress of love,
And her eyes said, "Lie with me for I
Am beautiful"; the breeze put down its leaves
And listened, clouds slowed, the evening blushed.
She grasped my chest, then snatched her hand away
Whereupon that sullen child my self,
Turned towards her face which seemed to say,
"Give me your heart, I live for nothing else!"
Hearing this, my heart, all needy, rushed
Towards that source of loveliness and light
So that I gasped and cried out, "Desperate
And without heart, who now will give me life?"
Bringing me gently to her breasts she sighing
Whispered, "I will, for I am your heart".
