The original Bramley Apple tree is 200 years old this year and still bears fruit. It was planted from seed by a young girl in her Nottinghamshire garden.

Bramley apples grow from a blossom to become large green fruits. They have a creamy white flesh which is very acidic when raw but has a lovely smooth texture when cooked and they make the best pies and crumbles.

Bramley Apples are ready for picking in October each year and will store well throughout the Winter.

  • The Bramley Apple tree should be kept in a south facing sunny position, however it is tolerant of some shade.
  • The Bramley Apple tree has received an Award of Merit from RHS.
  • This tree requires cross pollination from other nearly apple trees.
  • The Bramley Apple is the best cooking apple variety.
  • Our Bramley Apple tree is heavy cropping.
