February MyTree Story | Bloodgood Japanese Maple Tree

Our February MyTree story is from Kerry, who sent her mother-in-law a Bloodgood Japanese Maple Tree last year on Valentines Day. Kerry always has a special gift delivered to her mother-in-law on Valentine's day as it’s also her late husbands birthday and this is a day that they would have celebrated together both buying each other gifts and spending time together.

Blodgood Japanese Maple LeavesKerry had always found it hard to choose the right gift and had sent flowers and plants in the past as her mother-in-law is an inspired gardener. This time she wanted to go for something a little different and after looking online she settled on sending an Acer tree as they both really loved them.

Kerry’s mother-in-law and her husband would always celebrate Valentines Day and his birthday together, both buying each other a little gift. Kerry wanted to carry on this tradition after he passed so always wanted to make sure she had a gift on that day.

After experiencing difficulties in the past with plants not being delivered on the correct day or arriving upside down she was a little hesitant but was pleased to find that the delivery went off without a hitch and her Bloodgood Acer Tree was delivered right on time adding that little extra sentimental value.

Bloodgood Acer TreeBloodgood Japanese Maples are compact trees and great for growing in the pot in the garden. They are perfect for planting in February and will come into leaf as soon as spring rolls around providing the garden with seasonal interest year round.

A lovely Valentines Day or Birthday gift idea that provides sentiment and memories for loved ones, the tree will grow for many years flourishing in the gardening reminding friends and family of that special day.

Kerry left us this lovely review:

“Communication was excellent. Tree was delivered on time (and it was Valentine's Day!). I asked for it to be left by the door and I was sent a photograph which was very reassuring and my mother-in-law is very happy with her acer.”
