A relative of the peach, the apricot is a fragile fruit with a delicate flavour and a velvety finish. The Apricot has strong links with Greek mythology and has been described as the "Nectar of the Gods".

The large crimson coloured fruit of the Flavorcot Apricot is firm but has juicy sweet aromatic flesh. Flavorcot Apricots are great for cooking with and make gorgeous apricot jam.

Apricots are a nutritious fruit, one single fruit will provide the RDA of vitamin A and is also high on fibre and betacarotene. 

The Flavorcot Apricot tree is a hardy tree which is well suited to our British weather. It flowers in Spring and the heavy fruit crop is ready for picking from mid July.
