The Holly Tree is a symbol of winter in both Pagan and Christian lore and is associated with rebirth. Holly was hung and planted around the home as a protection from evil spirits and is still used today as a decoration throughout Christmas time.
Holly was often used in spells associated with sleep and thought to aid rest.
The Holly Tree is native to the UK and makes an excellent Christmas gift.
Holly tree supplied is 20-40cm tall.

The Holly tree is native throughout the British Isles, it grows to around 65ft (20m) if left untrimmed.
Holly trees form an excellent evergreen hedge, growing everywhere except on wet soils. The Holly tree will generally tolerate conditions that would be too harsh for other trees.
Holly wood is used for carving, inlay work and woodcuts.
Birds feast on Holly berries in winter providing for a pre Christmas race with those of us wishing to decorate their homes.
Holly trees are single sex with only female trees bearing berries.
A mix of male and female plants is therefore required to obtain winter berries.

Once you buy a tree2mydoor gift, you can include a greetings card along with your own personal message. You can select a target delivery date when you place an order. We will normally dispatch your order one day before your target delivery date. (Monday to Thursday). Orders over £50 qualify for free delivery.

Delivery options

This product can be delivered by 1st Class Royal Mail postage (standard) or by next day courier service (premium). Deliveries are undertaken between Tuesday and Saturday each week. Saturday deliveries incur an extra surcharge.
