The Aspen Tree is well known for its quivering leaves. Many people call the Aspen tree, the Judas tree as it was said to be the wood used for the Cross at the Cruxifiction of Jesus Christ. The Aspen tree makes a good Easter gift.

The Aspen Tree is a beautiful tree with a pale slender trunk crowned with shimmering green leaves in the summer and and bright gold leaves in the Autumn.

The Celts used to make shields from Aspen Tree wood as it was thought to protect the bearer from physical and psychic harm. Bach Flower Remedies also recommend extract of Aspen to treat fear and anxiety.
A hardy tree that can tolerate a wide range of climatic conditions.
Tree supplied is 20-40cm tall.

Max height 65ft (20m).
Constantly throwing up suckers to form new trees, the aspen pioneers the colonisation of new ground, particularly in the Scottish Highlands.
Its quivering foliage which turns amber-yellow in autumn makes it an instantly recognisable tree and often planted garden tree - althought its suckering habit can cause it to spread.
It was believed that the constant trembling of the leaves indicated the trees guilt at having provided the wood used for the cross on which Christ was crucified.

Once you buy a tree2mydoor gift, you can include a greetings card along with your own personal message. You can select a target delivery date when you place an order. We will normally dispatch your order one day before your target delivery date. (Monday to Thursday). Orders over £50 qualify for free delivery.

Delivery options

This product can be delivered by 1st Class Royal Mail postage (standard) or by next day courier service (premium). Deliveries are undertaken between Tuesday and Saturday each week. Saturday deliveries incur an extra surcharge.
