Wedding gifts await Price and Reid - 03/02/10

Katie Price and Alex Reid can now expect wedding gifts, with a spokesman for the couple revealing that they have tied the knot in Las Vegas.

A "private, simple" ceremony marked the occasion as the couple exchanged vows at 4pm local time on Tuesday (midnight GMT).

Price, 31, and Reid, 34, said in a statement: "We are very much in love and look forward to the future together. We can't wait to get back and celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who we know fully support our wishes."

A statement from the couple's publicist said: "Their decision to marry has not been made with any pre-conceived commercial plan or media deal in place, and their reason for getting married is purely down to their love for each other."

They are due to return to the UK later this week.

The former glamour model - also known as Jordan - has been dating the cage fighter for around seven months after splitting from her ex-husband Peter Andre in May last year.

A string of television appearances and extensive media coverage ensured that the relationship stayed in focus.

The mother-of-three had told OK! magazine that she wanted to marry Reid and have kids this year.
