Wedding gift wait for secret Sophie - 12/01/10

Friends of Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum had no time to think about wedding gifts - the celebrity pair have already jetted off on honeymoon after exchanging vows in a secret wedding ceremony over the weekend.

The ceremony at the Lime Wood Hotel, in the New Forest National Park, on Saturday was attended by only their closest friends and family.

Jamie, 30, and statuesque model-turned-author Sophie, 32 headed to a sit-down meal in a marquee along with the guests after the ceremony. Pint-sized jazz star Jamie also reportedly performed in the hotel.

The wedding is believed to have had a "winter wonderland" theme, with the venue lit up with hundreds of fairy lights.

Sophie, who was walked down the aisle by her actor father Julian Holloway, is believed to have dressed in a Versace outfit.

A spokeswoman for Jamie said: "I can confirm that they celebrated their wedding at the weekend."

She added that the couple did not officially marry at the hotel as that had taken place earlier.

A spokesman for the hotel said: "They looked very happy. They had a celebration of marriage and a wedding reception."

The couple, who met in 2007, got engaged last year. It is said that they refused a lucrative deal for their wedding photos from a magazine.
