Spurs' Jenas given engagement gifts - 07/10/09

Tottenham Hotspur and England star Jermaine Jenas has marked his engagement with a no-expense spared musical event.

As an engagement gift to fiancee Ellie Penfold, Jenas had hip-hop star Nelly perform at the party, which saw two of the player's Tottenham teammates, Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane, belt out some tunes of their own by singing karaoke.

Jenas, 25, says he met Penfold in a club after getting together the courage to approach her. The midfield dynamo has said the wedding would not take place until 2011, though he is already planning an extravagant party.

Penfold, meanwhile, has expressed a preference to hold the wedding in a country house - and hopes Amy Winehouse will perform for guest on the day.
