SJP shows off surrogate baby gift - 01/07/09

Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have released the first picture of their surrogate twin daughters.

The 44-year-old actress and her 47-year-old husband are seen smiling as they hold Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge, with the girls' six-year-old brother James Wilkie looking on.

The couple's baby gift came from Michelle Ross, who delivered the twins last week at a hospital in Ohio.

Ms Ross was constantly under media attention during her pregnancy prompting Sarah to express her concern about the "safe delivery of their children".

The actress told Access Hollywood in an interview that the surrogate had received threats and her computer had been hacked into.

Police officers investigating a suspected burglary at Ms Ross's home concluded that it was aimed at providing pictures and information about her to a tabloid.

Sarah enlisted the help of the surrogate after being unable to conceive since the birth James. The actress is expected to begin work on a sequel to the Sex And The City movie later this year.
