Shilpa Shetty's wedding gifts rush - 06/11/09

Guests at the wedding of Shilpa Shetty will have little time to plan their wedding gifts, as the former Big Brother contestant plans to tie the knot with her fiance within weeks.

Shilpa and Raj Kundra will get married in a farmhouse owned by her friend, Kiran Bawa, in Khandala. The couple had hoped to wed in Mumbai, but were unable to book a five-star hotel at short notice during the wedding season.

The mehendi and sangeet, traditional pre-marriage events, will incorporate rituals from both Shilpa's Bunt community and Raj's Punjabi background on the day before the wedding, which has been set for November 22.

Just 150 guests will be invited to the occasion, before a grand reception in a Mumbai hotel, where over 500 guests will celebrate the wedding.

Shilpa will wear a burgundy red brocade saree with Swarovki crystals, designed by Tarun Tahiliani, to the wedding.
