Royal birthday gifts for Camilla - 17/07/09

The Prince of Wales will be hoping his wife the Duchess of Cornwall enjoys his birthday gifts as much as her celebrations for her 62nd birthday.

The Royal couple will be jetting off to the Isle of Wight to carry out a number of engagements, but will find time to celebrate Camilla's birthday.

Camilla was born on 17 July, 1947 in London, the daughter of Bruce and Rosalind Shand, but grew up in rural Sussex.

It is no doubt that her love for the country is something that drew her to Charles and the couple will be able to indulge in this passion during a visit to a farmer's market on the Isle of Wight.

Prior to marrying Charles in a civil ceremony at Windsor on 9 April, 2005 Camilla was married to Andrew Parker-Bowles and had two children with the Army officer before they divorced in 1995.

Although she only married Charles four years ago, she first met him in 1973 and it is believed they had an affair while they were still married to their respective spouses.
