The funeral of Irish-born entertainer Danny La Rue is to take place with friends from across the world of showbusiness gathering to pay their respects and mark the day with memorial gifts.
La Rue, 81, died on May 31 from a short battle with cancer after spending 60 years as a "true showbusiness legend".
He was best known for his singing and drag impersonations and was described by US star Bob Hope as "the most glamorous woman in the world".
Barbara Windsor, who knew La Rue since she was 18, said she was "devastated" by the news and had only seen him three weeks before his death.
The Eastenders star said he was a very protective man, who once leapt off a stage to punch a man who had yelled a rude comment from the audience.
