Birthday gifts planned for P Diddy - 18/11/09

Guests to an extravagant party held by P Diddy will be under pressure to think of equally grand birthday gifts, as the music mogul plans to celebrate his 40th birthday in style.

P Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is planning the "party of the century" at the Plaza Hotel's Grand Ballroom on November 19.

Event planner Bronson Van Wyck has been charged with arranging a "fantasy dreamland" themed celebration for P Diddy, who turned 40 on November 4. The party is to feature fashion installations, a labyrinth and performance art, according to the New York Post.

Bentley Meeker, the "Wizard of Light" is expected to set the mood for the event with the lighting.

The guest list is said to include Queen Latifah, Russell Simmons, Spike Lee, Zac Posen, Lil' Kim and a "very special" musical guest.

Sean has won three Grammy Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.
