Baby gifts on the way for Dannii - 14/01/10

Dannii Minogue can expect baby gifts this year, with her spokesman confirming rumours that she is pregnant with her first child .

The X Factor judge and her boyfriend Kris Smith received results of her 12-week scan on Thursday.

The 38-year-old pop star and former rugby player Smith were said to be "delighted" by the news. The baby is due in July.

Minogue's spokesman Simon Jones said: "Dannii and Kris are very excited and can't wait to start their family in 2010.

"Rumours and stories surfaced across the weekend about Dannii being pregnant and having already had her 12-week scan.

"These stories were incorrect. Dannii had her 12-week scan this week and was given the results with the all-clear to make an announcement."

Last week, the Australian pop star was filing a case against the Daily Mirror for reporting that she was going to be a mother.

According to Press Complaints Commission (PCC) rules, a pregnancy cannot be reported until the 12-week scan confirms it.
