Baby gifts for Extras star - 13/11/09

Ugly Betty actress Ashley Jensen has given birth to a baby boy and is set to be showered with baby gifts, it has been confirmed.

Ashley, who shot to fame in BBC's Extras, and husband Terence Beesley are now the proud parents of Francis Jonathan - already nicknamed Frankie Jack - who was born on October 20.

A spokesperson for the 40-year-old actress confirmed the news to People.com and said both mother and child were home and doing well.

The Bafta and Emmy-nominated Scottish actress did not wish to know the sex of the baby before the birth. She said: "We thought there are so few surprises left in the world. We wanted to be surprised, so we didn't have the room painted pink or blue."

The pair, who got married in January 2007 after seven years together, announced in July that they were expecting their first child.

Ashley is planning to be back on US sitcom Accidentally On Purpose as soon as possible. She also stars in festive comedy, Nativity, alongside Martin Freeman, which will be released on November 27.
