Special comeback gift for Blue fans - 28/04/09

Boyband Blue have announced that they are back together and will be performing at Capital FM's Summertime Ball.

The four members, Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Antony Costa, and Simon Webbe, who together have a unique gift for crowd-pleasing feel-good pop, will join Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson and Calvin Harris and other acts at London's Emirates Stadium on Sunday June 7.

After the announcement Duncan said they were all very excited about the reunion and thought they would enjoy it even more the second time round.

Capital FM approached all of the band members and asked whether they would consider getting back together for the Summertime Ball, Antony revealed.

He added that they were all really looking forward to performing together and felt they had a special gift that still appealed to fans.

When quizzed by breakfast show hosts Johnny Vaughn and Lisa Snowdon on whether a new single was imminent, the band remained secretive and refused to give anything away.

Blue, who separated in 2005 to work on solo projects, experienced huge chart-topping success in the UK selling more than four million singles and seven million albums.
