Billion Tree Campaign - The worldwide tree planting initiative facilitated by the United Nations Environment Programme. People, communities, businesses, industry, civil society organisations and governments are encouraged to enter tree planting pledges on-line. The campaign strongly encourages the planting of indigenous trees and trees that are appropriate to the local environment.
www.globaltrees.org - The GTC aims to save the world's most threatened tree species and their habitats through information, conservation and wise use. The campaign focuses on trees as flagship species for conservation of ecosystems and landscapes, and enables local people to carry out rescue and sustainable use operations.
www.foe.org.uk - Friends of the Earth is the largest international network of environmental groups - represented in over 70 countries. This is their UK website, lots of things going on locally.
www.edenproject.com - A superb charitable conservation project based in Cornwall. Definitely worth a visit. Check out their website to find out more.
www.greenpeace.org.uk - Greenpeace is an independent non-profit global campaigning organisation. Founded in 1971. Good website with lots of up to date information about their campaigns.

www.goingreen.co.uk - We bumped into the Director of this company at the Startup Awards! The company has developed the 'greenest car in Britain' named 'G-Wiz'. It plugs into your electricity supply, has no emissions and you don't have to pay road tax or the inner London congestion charge. We want one!
