Birthday treat

This was a delighful surprise for my 30th Birthday. My husband bought me this to remind us of Puerto pollensa, majorca, where we usually celebrate my birthday. We spend many a night there sat looking at the beautiful lemon trees with a gin and tonic. We are holidaying in Puerto Pollensa a bit later this year with family but my husband wanted to bring a bit of Puerto Pollensa to me this year and for many years to come. It was so wonderful to see 4 lemons already growing on my tree. Looking forward to the gin.

Our tree's rebirthing

We decided to plant little tree today as is was lovely and sunny. It is in a pot at the moment as the space we want to plant it in, in the garden needs to be cleared. It goes in the greenhouse at night though, as it is still frosty overnigt.

13.07.10. 'Pollensa' the lemon tree has been reborn into my graden for my 30th Birthday. A bit of light pruning needed to create bushy growth. Going to look for a new pot today.

The week that my tree arrived there was very thick snow as you can see in the picture and temperatures were barely rising above freezing during the day so the planting of the tree was put on hold.
