In Celtic folklore, the majestic English Oak Tree was known as the Father of the Woods. Probably one of the most important trees in Celtic lore, oak trees are heavily linked to many legends and stories.

Its great height and longevity make it the mightiest tree in the woods and is a symbol of the great British countryside that surrounds us. The large deciduous tree is perfect for those who have plenty of space as they can live for up to 500 years.

It’s lobed leaves are dark green with a paler green underside, and do not generally arrive on the tree until mid May. The acorns produced by the Oak provide a harvest feast for our wildlife and will bring plenty of feathered and furry friends to the garden.
